Role Summary 

Velon Global is hiring an AI Solutions Engineer to join our product engineering team and contribute to the design and integration of AI-driven components within our cloud-based CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) and Pricing Intelligence Platform. 

You will collaborate closely with our Solution Architecture and DevOps leadership to design, build, and optimize scalable AI features within our Laravel-first ecosystem. This role is ideal for a developer with solid Laravel and API development skills, a working understanding of machine-learning integration, and a desire to build production-grade AI services for real business impact. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

AI & ML Development 

• Implement and integrate AI/ML models using PHP frameworks such as Rubix ML, Laravel AI Toolkit, Prism, or LaravelNeuro. 
• Develop feature-engineering and data-transformation pipelines supporting pricing, margin, and win-rate models. 
• Collaborate with architects and data scientists to maintain shared model schemas and inference endpoints. 
• Build reusable DTOs and ensure strong data-contract consistency across services. 
 

System & API Integration 

• Develop APIs connecting AI modules with ERP and CRM systems (SAP, MS Dynamics / Business Central, Odoo, etc.). 
• Extend and maintain real-time quoting and analytics features within the CPQ platform. 
• Support conversational and LLM-based components for intelligent pricing recommendations.  

DevOps & Infrastructure 

• Work with architecture and DevOps teams to ensure secure, automated deployments through Docker, Jenkins, and AWS pipelines. 
• Monitor performance, logging, and reliability of ML workflows. 
• Participate in continuous-integration improvements and automated testing for AI components. 
 

Code Quality & Collaboration 

• Follow clean-code practices, Git discipline, and documentation standards. 
• Participate in design reviews, sprints, and architectural discussions. 
• Ensure scalability, security, and compliance in all implemented modules. 
 

Required Skills and Experience 

• 2–5 years of Laravel/PHP experience with REST APIs and PostgreSQL/MySQL. 
• Exposure to Rubix ML or similar PHP ML libraries; knowledge of OpenAI/Claude integrations a plus. 
• Familiarity with Dockerized deployments and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline). 
• Experience with feature extraction and analytics dashboards (Metabase, PostHog). 
• Experience working in agile teams and collaborating closely with architecture and DevOps leads. 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
 

Preferred / Nice to Have 

• Experience with Prism, LaravelNeuro, or other AI orchestration frameworks. 
• Familiarity with Redis, Supabase Auth, or PostHog. 
• ERP/CRM integration experience (especially SAP, MS Dynamics / Business Central, Odoo). 
• Interest in expanding to Python for future hybrid ML work. 
• Background in manufacturing, fintech, or B2B pricing systems. 
 

Collaboration Framework 

You will be part of Velon’s core product engineering group, collaborating with the Solution Architecture team to ensure that every AI feature is secure, scalable, and aligned with the overall platform roadmap. 
The role combines technical ownership with the advantage of continuous mentorship from experienced architects while maintaining autonomy in design and delivery.
